Bartram's Beeswax Candles are hand-crafted in Maine by descendants of John Bartram*. Our signature tapers are hand poured into tinplate molds that our ancestor, would recognize instantly!

For our “Classic” candles, we use pure natural golden and filtered white Beeswax and 100% cotton wicks for virtually soot free burning with a warm honey scent. For those special and seasonal celebrations, our “Festive” candles are lightly colored to match the occasion.

Beeswax candles have a "warm" yellow flame, generate less soot, and are less likely to trigger allergies when they are burned. Our candles contain no paraffin or any other artificial substances that may release toxins when burned.

We look forward to having you enjoy our candles!

Kept away from drafts, your beeswax candles should burn drip free. If you notice the flame flickering and wax dripping, you may want to move your candles to another location.

Please use heat resistant candleholders, remove any paper wrappings & labels, and do not leave your burning candles unattended!

*Born in Pennsylvania to a Quaker family, John Bartram (1699-1777) became America's first great botanist, naturalist, and plant explorer. (Drawing of John Bartram by 19th century illustrator Howard Pyle.)
